Souper Hero

It's Monday... that means art center volunteering... it's also lunch time, which means I am cold... this big old building doesn't heat very well and sucks the heat out of a person's very being... but never fear! I have something to rescue me from my chill... I brought a can of chicken soup with me and wow am I warming up now... I need to remember to do this more often!

For anyone wondering, the anniversary went well... felt loved beyong belief, as usual, and spent way too much money on supper... but I got a bicycle... a beautiful purple bicycle! I haven't had a new bicycle since I was in grade 2 which was a great long time ago... I got a cushie seat topper for it and a nice helmet and so now all I need to do is get my hubby to make sure the tires are pumped properly and have it greased right... then I can go for my first bike ride in years (hopefully with the whole family since my hubby and kids have had bikes for a while)! I also need to name my bike, as all valiant modes of transport should be named... I think I'll reserve judgement on that though until I ride it around a wee bit.... can't wait!

Take care, Blogland... I need to get back to doing what I've been voluntold... LOL! ^_~

So much to do, so little time...

Yes yes... I've been neglecting my plot of blogland and the weeds are starting to grow... this will be short as I've got a superhero base to map up for my hubby... that's right kids, cartography can be a lot of fun!

To fill you in on what I have been doing for the past while:
1) Making/sewing a Charlemagne costume for a school project that our eldest is part of.
2) Taking pictures of everything, including the lovely cemetery near our maison.
3) Playing in 2 games using the Mutants & Masterminds system, blue booking, and plotting to run a junior superheroes game of my own set in Canada.
4) Making random maps of buildings and fantasy worlds with the graph paper that I bought myself for my last birthday because I am such a gamer-geekgirl.
5) Reading comics books... lots and lots of comic books!
6) Volunteering at the local art center.
7) Cleaning the house.
8) And a myriad of other things that involve not blogging.

A quick note: the 3rd anniversary of my hubby and I getting married is on Wednesday... I still love him as much as, if not more than, I did the day we were wed... he makes me happy and makes me feel complete... who could ask for more?

And now, that being said, it's time for me to scamper off... take care, Blogland, until next time!
