Where have I been?! Obviously not blogging, LOL! It's been a busy busy little while around the maison and I shall spare you the boring details since most of it involves working on this, that, or the next thing.... housework, characters for games, trying not to catch every cold bug the kids bring home from school... regular everyday stuff that blends on as days go by.
Last night my hubby brought all of his comic books downstairs to sort through... boxes upon boxes of graphic goodness has taken over our small living room area and most of them I haven't ever read (though I want to badly!). I stayed up until past midnight trying to help him with his wacky rearranging system and felt completely useless through most of it... my sleepy ineptness probably caused more problems that aid. Happily though, I also got to read a couple of things I'd only ever heard him talk about: Batman: The Killing Joke & Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters. He's told me the stories so many times, it was like reading an old favourite tale that's been passed down through a family for generations through spoken word. I knew most of the story from what he had always told me, but seeing it for myself helped compliment what I already knew and enriched the tale. It was almost like watching a movie adaptation of a book, and then going back to read the book for the first time. You know the basics, but now you get to see the whole story as it was originally laid out. Overall, it's a very very cool experience.
For anyone who is as much of a fan of video games as I am, they should check out this race I found for Super Mario Bros. superiority but clicking >here<. You know that you are a geeky fan-girl (or geeky fan-boy, in the case of any male readers out there in Blogland) when you watch this race and get all excited like I did! It was so cool! Makes me wish I could get to a convention or something so I could partake in a race like that... mom & dad, if you're reading this, send me my old NES & SNES consoles and all the games that go with them... I need to practice, LOL! ^_~
Ah well, places to go, comics to read, email to check, things to geek out about... and I should probably have breakfast before it's lunch... take care, Blogland, until next time! ^_^
