We Love Katamari is the sequel to the hit console video game Katamari Damacy and despite how twisted and directly-translated-from-Japanese it is, it's quite a lot of fun to play and highly addictive... in it you are the Prince of the Universe and your dad, the King, is so happy with the successes of the first game that he tells you to go down to Earth and appease the fans there... you do whatever wacky task they present you by pushing a ball (or katamari) around an area collecting items that stick to it... you can also collect presents and your cousins which add to the character skins that you can use and also unlock the two-player mode where you can team up or play versus someone... I love this game and have been playing it a lot since we got it for our eldest for Xmas, but alas, like all addictive things, We Love Katamari has a downside: it makes me sick to my stomach.... At first, I thought I just had a flu bug or something... I was feeling a bit dizzy and queasy and really tired... I drank a bunch of liquid, tried to have a nap or two, and carried around an empty 4L ice cream pail for a few days... I probably did have a bit of a bug at first, come to think of it since my throat also hurt a bit, but now I should be fit as a fiddle so to speak... thus today, as I was playing my current game of choice, I finally put two and two together... So now I am faced with a bit of a dilemma... I love the game a lot and would love to complete it but if it makes me sick, I'm not sure how I can... my next course of action, after my stomach settles again, is to play in shorter intervals... only a level or two at a sitting so that my tummy doesn't try to crawl up my throat like it wants to do right now. >_<
In other news, it snowed here today... it snowed and snowed and snowed... it's the wonderful sticky kinda of snow that is great for making snow-beings... and if the weather continues this way, I might just go outside tomorrow and make a snow dragon near the steps... the only problem with making anything out of snow is that you have to roll it around to collect a big ball... which reminds me of katamari, which makes me feel a bit queasy... LOL... just can't win... Ah well, take care, Blogland and HAPPY Winter-een-mas 2006!
